Message to Willy: Willy was a 14 year old rescue German Pointer from Kentucky
Tell us about Willy: Willy was a hero dog who saved our lives. Back in 2015 Grayslake got hit with a Tornado which knocked down many trees, closing roads and rendering our subdivision isolated. No fire, police , EMT or other services for 5 days. There were looters. We lost our roof, trees, electric poles and experienced 20,000 volt power lines laying across our driveways. We couldn't get out. We had no hint if the power lines were live or dead. Everything was wet and and attempts to approach the power lines to test them was impossible . If we went near the lines we would face electrocution. Willy decided to test the electric power, went outside and pissed on the wires. The power in the electric wires was off/dead meaning we could safely escape. If there was power in the wires, Willy would have been launched back to Kentucky. What a good dog.
