Message to Wendy: Wendy Darling was the sweetest, most beautiful cat to ever honor you with her presence. When we went to the shelter to adopt a cat, Wendy made the decision on our behalf. After we said hello to her, she followed us around while we tried to meet the other available cats, demanding our attention until we knew we had been chosen. From that day forward, she always got the attention she deserved. People marveled at her beauty, and while she was as sweet as her name implies, her fake-cranky little meows eventually earned her the descriptor "imitation crabcake." But she was also our city kitty, our little lion, our sweet girl.
Tell us about Wendy: When we dressed as Peter Pan and Wendy Darling for Halloween a few months after adopting our sweet girl, the blue costume ribbon made its way to Wendy's collar, and she wore a bow every day thereafter. The ribbon used for the bow would change with the seasons and the holidays, but she would always make her way back to that signature blue, "Wendy Classic." When we would undo her collar to change the ribbon, she would hop onto the dining room table, waiting patiently while we measured and cut the ribbon, and tied and perfected the bow, until we put the collar back on.
