Message to Webster: Webster, your presence will be profoundly missed. We take comfort in knowing you’re now chasing chipmunks, sniffing around with your cousins, and resting peacefully. Thank you for the endless joy you brought to our family and the boundless love you shared with us. While our hearts ache in your absence, we’re grateful that you are free from pain. We will love and miss you always.

Tell us about Webster: Webster came to our family during the chaos of Covid, a gentle old soul we found through a rescue site. At nine or ten years old, he was already a senior, but he filled our home with boundless sweetness and quiet love. As we visited the foster home, he took one walk with us and tried to then come home with us. We all knew he would be joining our home. He didn’t need to run marathons or chase balls far to bring joy to our lives. Instead, he delighted in exploring every smell, every crumb, and every hidden corner of the house. Short walks became hour-long adventures as he sniffed every inch of the world around him. Webster never jumped on people but had a bark big enough to make delivery drivers think twice. He was our shadow, following us room to room, always needing to be near. He loved being petted, sneaking a piece of popcorn, and surprising us with a cold nose under the dinner table. Our girls adored him, and he gave so much love in return, whether it was a slobbery kiss, a soft nuzzle, or the sight of his squishy, sun-warmed face. Sure, he tripped us up more times than we could count and demolished his fair share of squeaky toys, but that was part of his charm. Webster was more than a pet -- he was family. A quiet, gentle companion who brought warmth and light into our lives. We’ll miss you, sweet boy, but we know you’re napping in the sun somewhere, perfectly at peace.
