Ryan

Message to Ryan: Ryan was the sweetest, smartest, cutest cat. Since the moment I adopted him he loved to held. And he was very vocal. I will miss him every second of every day. He was the perfect buddy.

Tell us about Ryan: He was born July 29, 2007, at 6:30 am at Arlington Heights Animal Hospital (where I worked). He was the only male in a litter of 4. He was named for the Chicago Cub Ryan Theriot because he would run fast around the house. He loved his cat treats especially Party Mix. His favorite to play with was the laser toy. He knew where we kept it, every time we would go near the area, he would get excited. He was a long-haired cat. And always hated to be brushed. Luckily, he kept himself well groomed. Every night he came into bed and snuggled. He was very curious. He always had to know what was in a bag or new box. He always greeted us at the door when we came home. One thing he hated was to be alone. I always had to have another cat. One time after one of my cats passed, he was the only cat. He was very unhappy and let me know it. So, I went and got a kitten, he was very happy. His nicknames were RyRy, Budbud, Ryanski and Kitcat. He had a strong personality and fought right to the end. He was diagnosed with severe anemia and slight kidney failure. Sadly, he lost the fight on February 13, 2026. He was the best buddy and companion. I never felt alone, but now I do.
