Message to Ruby: Ruby, you forever changed our lives and so many of those around us. Thank you for letting us spend 7 amazing years loving you. We will miss you for an eternity.
Tell us about Ruby: Ruby came to us as a bonded senior pair from Wright Way Rescue in Morton Grove as a foster. Sadly her brother, Max, didn’t make it through surgery. When Ruby arrived her skin was rotting, her ear drum was ruptured, and she was so afraid of people she would urinate any time you reached too suddenly toward her. After two months of investing in her veterinary care and building her trust we realized we couldn’t let her go. She transformed into the funniest, grumpiest little girls in the world. She had many many friends both four legged and human. It was such a privilege to watch the impact her changes had on everyone around us. This loss has hit our family and friends hard but we are forever grateful that she got to be part of our life.
Ruby loved bedtime, bacon, and going on boat rides with her grandpa. She also loved being pushed in her stroller around the neighborhood like the passenger princess she was. She left us to reunite with her sister, Minne. Her sisters, Indi and Rainy miss her dearly, as does her brother, Taco Man.
