Pippi
Date of Passing: 10/20/2025
Message to Pippi: Pippi had the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen & a tail that reminded me of a Raccoon. Everyone that ever met her loved her & said she was the sweetest cat they had ever met. Pippi was the oldest of my 4 cats at 15 & kept the young-ins in place. She loved treats and carbs. My friends nicknamed her Panera Bread because she would try to steal the baguette that came with your soup or salad. The last year of her life had many hardships. She went almost completely blind from high blood pressure. She had terrible arthritis at the base of her spine that made it difficult for her to walk well holding up her hind end & she was diagnosed with CKD which required me to give her at home fluids multiple times a week. Through it all she still found the joy in life. I don’t know how I will move forward without her steady presence, but I know she is free from pain now.
Tell us about Pippi: I first saw Pippi at Petsmart in December 2014. I had just bought my first house in October and was used to having animals growing up. I wanted to adopt a cat & I found her and my buddy Hector at the same time. She was already 5 years old according to the adoption form, but I thought it would be good to have an older cat around especially since Hector was 9 months. Someone else had put an adoption form in for her right before me but the rescue decided to let me have her and the rest is history. Pippi was a big fan of catnip and Greenies. She was the “Mama” of the house and Hector & I are already missing her terribly.
