Message to Picasso:
Mommy and Daddy will love you forever. Say hello and deliver our love to Monet and Ollie for us. I know they are waiting eagerly for you. The three sisters are together again.
Tell us about Picasso:
On December 29th at 8:25 PM, I said goodbye to Picasso. She went peacefully in my arms, with her dad and Winnie by her side.
I first saw her in a cage at a pet store in Korea. She was hanging upside down, and the moment I saw her, I knew I had to bring her home. That’s how our journey began, together in Korea and later in the States for the past 15 years.
She was there for me during my darkest and loneliest moments, and she was there for my brightest ones too.
She was so strong, her heart especially. Curious and adventurous, she was never afraid of new people or new environments. Picasso was sassy and always wanted to do things on her own terms.
During COVID, I found out she had a benign tumor on the left side of her face. She underwent radiation treatment to stop its growth. Over the past two years, I noticed changes in the size and shape of the tumor, and I knew our time together was limited. I thought I was mentally and emotionally prepared, but I still wasn’t ready to say goodbye.
