Milo

Name: Milo

Date of Passing: 11/15/2024

Message to Milo: Milo passed on Friday, November 15th, 2024 at home in the arms of his human mom and dad. He was a sweet, loyal and calm dog who loved watching the world around him.

Tell us about Milo: The details of his first few years of his life are not known as he was picked up as a stray. He was adopted by his owners, Barrett and Maggie, in 2014 from Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter in Deerfield, Illinois. Milo spent the next 7 years with his human mom and dad in Chicago, where he loved to gaze out the window all day, watching cars, people and most importantly, the mailman, walk by. When he was younger, he enjoyed going to the dog park at River Park and walking through Lincoln Square with his mom and dad. He moved to the suburbs with his family in 2021 and was able to enjoy all the scents in the large field near his new home. He became a big brother to his human sister in 2020, and then again just recently in August 2024 to 2 more human sisters. He was kind and gentle with his sisters, although growing mobility issues made it difficult to play. As a Beagle/Bassett mix (with possibly some corgi), Milo's lil' legs were not kind to him and as he aged he moved slower and slower, but his gentle, kind nature never gave way. Milo was a dog who brought much love and joy to his family and is very missed by all who knew him.
