Message to Marcel: Dear my sweetest boy, I’ll think of you at every meal and how you’d beg for food with the cutest puppy dog eyes. I’ll think of you every time it snows and how much you loved playing in the cold. I’ll think of you every time I visit Hastings and how we liked to sit at the beach. I’ll think of you when I look in the backyard and see your favorite spot under the tree. I’ll think of you everyday my sweet boy.
Tell us about Marcel: Meeting Marcel was an accident but ended up being the best accident ever. Some may even call it destiny. My little brother was getting a hair cut nextdoor to a pet store. We had some time before his appointment so we walked in to the pet store not knowing there was an adoption event going on. We were met by the most beautiful golden retriever. He was so beautiful and sweet we thought there was no way he was up for adoption. Turns out he was! We were moved to the top of the long adoption list because his foster mom had such a good feeling about us. A few days later Marcel was ours! We always joked Marcel didn’t know how to dog. He wasn’t a fan of long walks, hated the water, and got bored of fetch after one throw. He did love playing in his backyard with our neighbors dogs. He loved sitting under the tree letting the wind blow in his fur. He loved playing peek a boo with me. He loved people. Anyone Marcel met was his best friend. He loved to lean on you and cover you with his hair. He loved cuddles and thought he was a lap dog. He was the happiest dog. Marcel loved his family most of all and we loved him more ❤.
