Message to Lola: Lola was a sweet loving misunderstood feral cat. I rescued her at Paws, Lincoln Park Chicago in November of 2012, she just arrived from animal control. She was only 4 months old with a broken nose, a scratch on her left eye and FIV. It took much effort to get her to come out from under the couch or hide, once I gained her trust she would follow me around. Even with company she would be in the room.... but please do not pet her this is where she was misunderstood. The past 9 years she was able to live in a house with a screened in patio, she loved to bask in the sun, watch the birds and keep the chippies at bay. She was always at the door to greet me when I came home, she loved to knead me or rub her nose to mine, very talkative especially in the morning, she was very sweet. The past few years her FIV acted up and she would go in hiding for a while and then she was back to her normal self. Lola got 6 years with just me until I got Ozzie a 40lb Australian Labradoodle, they got the best of each other, but they did love each other. She would watch out a window to wait our return from a dog walk, she was a so sweet.
Tell us about Lola: Lola taught me to be present especially when I was able to be one on one with her. She made sure to drop all thoughts that could be rushing into my head and just really enjoy our precious time that no one could take away from us, it's a great lesson learned from my misunderstood feral cat. Till we meet again across the rainbow bridge. Love you and miss you dearly Lola Bean my little Lolo. Love your human mom and Ozzie.
