Holly

Message to Holly: Holly had a presence in our house. If she wasn't napping, she was always near me. She slept on my bed at night or would be by my feet while I was working on the computer. If I came home at the end of a long day, she was sitting at the door to greet me. My home just seems emptier without her presence.
Tell us about Holly: Some friends actually owned her first. They picked Jade out first and brought her home. Two days later, they felt bad about leaving Holly at the shelter by herself, so they went back and got her. They were both about three months old. I had been around them a bit but almost eight-and-a-half years ago, my friends moved West and couldn't take the casts with them. They tried to find homes, but nobody wanted both. I grew up on a farm with outdoor pets but never in the house. I wasn't really sure about this, but I decided to take them when they were six-and-a-half years old. Both Holly and Jade have been the sweetest most well-behaved cats. I have never had any issues with them breaking anything or having accidents until Holly's health issues the last couple of months. While Jade mostly keeps to herself and is a bit timid, Holly loved to play with string, toy mice, and her Nerf ball. She would sit at the top of the stairs, and I would go down five or six steps and toss the ball up to her. She would spike it back to me like a volleyball, and she never missed it. She was more athletic than me. Like most cats, she did not like her kennel and trips to the vet.
