Message to Harley: Harley welcomed us as his new family the moment he was placed in the car. His tenacity to live life as a tripod was a daily inspiration. We loved that he loved all the other dogs in our life that we dog sat, and seemed to enjoy every time they would visit.
His favorite thing was having both his moms at home. He always wanted the 3 of us to be together. During his final months when we had to carry him up the stairs, it seemed that he would jump into our arms and enjoy the ride. The house is empty without him.
Tell us about Harley: After looking for a senior dog to adopt, I found Harley on a rescue site in Philadelphia when I was making a donation in memory of a colleague. We applied and they called us the next day.
On that Friday we were in the car to make the 20 hour round trip drive to get him in Chambersberg, PA. We never thought to change his name but added Valentine as his middle name since that was his first day in his new home. He loved being around you and in his cloud (bed). When his friends would sleep over, he loved switching beds with them.
