Message to Finley: Finley was our best friend. He helped us get through so many tough times in our lives including illnesses, deaths, surgeries, rehab, just to name a few. He was our constant and gave us unselfish love and companionship even when his body was failing. Even though our lives feel incomplete now, we do know that we were lucky to have him and will never forget him.
Tell us about Finley: We saw Finley on an online rescue website called Be Fido’s Friend, which is based in Chicago. We had been without a dog for a year as we needed to take a break as it is so hard when they pass. We knew we wanted a smaller dog as we were living in a condo in the West Loop. We saw his pictures and bio and loved him right away. They named him Finley and it fit him to a tee. His favorite thing was to be by us and to love us unconditionally as we loved him. Everyone knew Finley and we took him everywhere with us. He even had his own passport. Even when his health was failing he was trying to comfort us, but it was time to say goodbye and let him go with dignity. He was our best boy.
