Message to Cupcake: Cupcake was more than just a pet, she was a very important part of the family! She was so sweet and loving and always wanted to he involved in everything we were doing. She was also a really tough kitty and love to boss around her almost 90 pound big sister doggy Roxie. We are so sad that we cannot be with Cupcake physically anymore, but we know she is still with us in our memory and in our hearts! We love and miss you SO much, Cuppie!! You are the best! ❤❤❤
Tell us about Cupcake: We rescued our adorable “New Year’s Baby” from Kay’s animal shelter in February, 2010. She had been born on New Year’s Day and was there with several of her also-adorable siblings. Right away, we could tell that she was extremely sweet and friendly. We knew she would make a great addition to our family so we took her home with us. We had previously rescued a sweet kitty named Sugar who sadly passed very young due to congenital kidney issues. We wanted to name our next kitty with another sweet food item, and that is how we came up with the name Cupcake. Our very social Cupcake loved being with people. Whether it was family or friends or even strangers, she would always talk to them, rub up against them and ask to be pet. She loved eating but mostly just seafood. She especially loved sardines and kipper, and even tried to eat them right off of our plates! She also loved being on our laps, talking to us and being brushed. She had a lot of fun with catnip and the laser pointer too. Not sure why, but she really loved sweaty items like shoes. She would sometimes rub all over them, which we thought was hilarious! Same thing with her enjoyment of rubbing her face all over backpacks, she was just always filled with funny antics! Her favorite place to hang out was at the top the sofa in the family room or at of the stairs when she was preventing her doggie sister Roxie from going down! It was so funny how much bigger Roxie was. However, Cupcake was a tough little kitty and love to boss her huge sister around. Roxie misses Cupcake just like we do! We often called her “Cupperific” because she was so terrific! Cupcake was such an amazing, beautiful, and special kitty who will live in our memories and hearts forever! ❤❤❤
