Bella
Date of Passing: 10/16/24
Message to Bella: We are heartbroken to say good-bye to our sweet Bella. She gave 13.5 years of unconditional love. Bella never complained and was friends with everyone, even in her final days. She was my fur baby, heart dog, and co-worker. In the mornings she prances her way into the office to “go to work” with me. She would curl up in her bed next to my desk and remind me whenever I let too much time go between cuddles. She was a Golden but didn’t like the water, except if it was muddy and she could dive in. She did love being outside in the grass and would roll over on her back and give a funny smile while eating all the grass she could. Her favorite place was at home with people. She didn’t care for car rides and traveling - just a home body. She would talk a lot in her older years and would move her arthritic paws on our wood floor like she was running in the fields. We are grateful for A Gentle Goodbye and the beautiful, peaceful way she was able to pass without any pain and in the comfort of her home. Thank you Dr Heather and the entire team who made this difficult decision as special as it could be.
Tell us about Bella: We got Bella as a puppy. We surprised our daughter on her last day of 5th grade. For the first 2 years, she acted like a puppy and loved to chew wood, especially our wood floor and furniture legs. After that, she was the best dog ever. She didn’t beg and never got into the garbage or try to get food on the tables or counters. She loved her stuffed toys and sounded so mean as she growled and whipped them around but she would never bite or do anything to anyone. She was truly the best dog and we miss her greatly.
