Message to Baxter: My baby boy was the most intelligent animal I have ever met, he had a bit of a jealous streak and would get embarrassed when anyone laughed at him doing something silly. Everyone who met him commented on how exceptionally handsome he was. He loved being sung to, especially when we replaced words in the song with his name about how beautiful he was.
Tell us about Baxter: Fate brought us together in spring 2008 when I was evaluating repairs on an abandoned home. I reached my arm in a broken basement window covered in a black plastic bag and I pulled out two kittens. Baxter and his sister Aphrodite who was adopted by a family friend. My boy was with me for half of my life, there to comfort me in my darkest moments. He was a mommies boy and loved to be the center of attention. Luckily for him a few years into his life he got a second mommy who spent 14 wonderful years with him. His favorite foods were steak and cheddar cheese, we called it his Baxter cheese steak. Baxter best feline friend was his niece Athena, Aphrodite’s daughter who he lived with for over 10 joyous years. Our boy is dearly missed although we are grateful his suffering by from stage 4 kidney failure has come to a gentle end.
