Message to Aeva: Aeva beb - I had a dream about you last night. You accompanied me to a class and laid down immediately and calmly to observe, which is funny because you never would have done that. In any public setting, you always stood next to us panting, unable to settle, always on high alert, always in protect mode. In the dream, everyone wanted to pet you and say hi, and you let them. I think you were telling me that you’re at peace.
You were such a good girl. The greatest companion, eternally in tune with everyone’s emotions, the slowest walker, the fluffiest floof, constantly getting compliments from people about how beautiful you were, a gentle soul.
I know you’re barking in your sleep somewhere and running (slowly) with Benny. Probably chasing geese. Love you forever my favorite girl.
Tell us about Aeva: Aeva came to us from the Humane Society in Boulder, CO. She had been rescued from a hoarding situation along with her siblings. She was the calmest puppy in the litter and was chosen for her demeanor. She was raised by a village of college students, family and friends. Aeva spent the first few years of her life in Colorado before moving to Illinois with Alexander. The name “Aeva” is based on an anime character. It was chosen because she was our “Unit 02”.
