Henri — the hole in our hearts the day you left us is far greater than I ever could have imagined. You gave us 17.3 years of unconditional love, constant companionship, and endless lap sits — even when the timing wasn’t ideal.

Everywhere I turned, you were at my feet. Every door I opened, you were sitting on the other side, waiting for me. At bedtime, you warmed my feet as you slept under the covers at the foot of our bed.

You were always there — loyal, gentle, and loving — and home without you is going to be difficult for a very long time. Mommy will always love you, Weenzie! 😭💔😘

Tell us about Henri:
Henri came into my life when my daughter adopted him during her last year of college. After she graduated and moved back home, apartment hunting made it clear that dogs weren’t welcome in most places — my daughter asked if I could take Henri, and the rest is history.

One well-intentioned decision, a life transition, and suddenly I became the chosen human. 🐾🐾
