Message to "Cali" Konrad: The best dog ever
We miss you Cali ❤

Tell us about "Cali" Konrad: Fourteen years ago our son Jimmy was attending the University of Illinois and decided he wanted a dog. With six kids in the house we never had time for a dog at home. From a farmer’s litter sold out of a cardboard box at a nearby gas station Jimmy picked a little chocolate lab. He named her Cali.

At term's end Jimmy moved back home to Chicago and so did Cali. Cali soon became one of the most cherished members of our family. She filled our home with joy and love. What started as a new pet quickly grew into a lifelong friendship that touched each and every member of our family.

As a puppy she was playful and curious. As the years passed she became a constant companion through family celebrations, everyday routines and difficult times. Her loyalty and affection never wavered. Always there to greet you with a wagging tail and happy heart ❤.

Nothing made anyone happier than feeling the soft weight of Cali next to them. Scratching those velvety brown ears and thick chocolate fur.

She was our fluffy puppy 🐶

Over fourteen wonderful years she taught us the true meaning of devotion, patience and companionship. Cali shared in our happiest moments and provided comfort during our challenges. More than just a pet she became family, a faithful friend whose presence made our lives richer and happier. Although the time has passed the memories we created together will remain in our hearts forever:

The five o’clock morning walks with dad. Lazy days sitting outside watching you roll around in the grass or the leaves or the snow whatever the weather. Sitting outside Jacqueline’s bedroom waiting until she came to bed 🛌 so you could climb up next to her. Stretching out taking half of a king size bed. And let’s not forget wanting the window open so you could keep watch. The house is quieter without you here and we miss you so very much 💔.

Adopting our fluffy puppy was the best decision our family ever made. We will be ever grateful for the fourteen years of love, happiness and companionship Cali gave us ❤.
