Liberty
Date of Passing: 04/17/2026
Message to Liberty: Liberty was such a gentle girl to our two young boys and that is all we could have ever wished for. She was our perfect little pittie. We miss her beyond words. Our house feels empty and too quiet without her here. She has left paw prints on our hearts that will forever be there. We love you, Liberty.
Tell us about Liberty: We adopted Liberty two days after our wedding. We had another dog already and we were not told that she was aggressive towards other animals. We quickly learned the truth. We spent the first year of our marriage rehabilitating Liberty. We knew it was not her fault, but the fault of whoever had her before us. She was at least one when we adopted her and she was found on the 4th of July running the streets (hence the name Liberty). She was worth the fight it took us to care for her. We brought her into our family and we were determined to help her. Liberty turned out to be the perfect family dog (and yes, she even was able to be rehabbed with our other dog, although never with any others). She was sweet and snuggly. She was gentle with kids of all ages. She was loyal and loving. She loved her humans more than she loved her spoonfuls of peanut butter!
