Message to Chomper: Chomper, thank you for being the biggest sparkle in our lives. You lit up every room you walked into and I love how your vet and groomer always spoke so positively about you. You are the greatest blessing we have ever had, and we will think about you and your feisty little spirit everyday for the rest of our lives. Although life will never be the same for us, we hope you are resting peacefully over the rainbow bridge. We love you always and forever.
Tell us about Chomper: In June 2018, we decided to adopt a senior dog, because we learned that senior dogs are less likely to be adopted. While browsing on Facebook, I came across the Livingston County Humane Society in Pontiac, IL. Their featured pet of the month was Chomper, and after seeing pictures of him and learning about him, we knew he was the perfect boy for us.
As soon as we brought him into our apartment, he settled in quickly. He showed no signs of fear or aggression, but he was a picky eater! We switched up his dog food whenever he became bored with it. He was always eager to see what leftovers me and my fiancé brought from restaurants, because he knew he would be eating like a prince those nights.
He was the most precious part of our lives and losing him is by far the hardest thing that has ever happened to us, but we try to remember he is no longer in pain.
