Message to Zumi: Zumi was our constant companion for 14 years. He was extremely selective about his human and animal friends so we’re honored that he became a part of our family. He was the most loyal dog we have ever known. He was a best friend to our dear late Tut and a fierce protector. He could be moody and temperamental but also extremely affectionate.

Tell us about Zumi: Zumi was adopted from PAWs Chicago in 2009. His name is diminutive form of the Japanese word for mouse, a nod to his prodigious ears. In his younger days Zumi was a hunter. He was known to snatch flies out of the air and he loved to chase pigeons.
