Reverie

Name: Reverie

Date of Passing: 06/17/2026

I adopted Reverie through the Forever Fortunate Feline rescue after discovering her on their website. She was about six months old at the time. Despite the eye issues she had experienced as a kitten, I instantly fell in love with her. Her name was Reverie, and it suited her so perfectly that I never changed it after adopting her. She had the sweetest demeanor and cutest meow. Her foster mother lived in Chicago, and because it was during COVID, we met over Zoom. After our call, she shared that she approved of us adopting Reverie—though she admitted she had seriously considered keeping “Rev Rev” herself. Around the same time, I also adopted a male kitten of a similar age from a different foster within the same rescue. The two bonded beautifully and got along from the start. She was loved by us and we dearly miss her. She will always be in our hearts.

Tell us about Reverie: Reverie had the most endearing habit — she loved carrying little wool balls in her mouth, hopping up onto the bed while meowing with it in her mouth. She would then patiently wait for me or my husband to throw the ball so she could fetch it. Watching her do this was absolutely adorable and became one of our favorite things about her.
