Message to Raphael: Raphael, aka Rapha-boo, is survived by his littermate and brother, Michael and his two daddies Andrew and Matty. His gregarious mountaineering of the kitchen counters, warm lap and neck snuggles, late-night singing the songs of his people, avid chattering and birdwatching along with warmly welcoming and schmoozing with every guest who has entered our home can never be replaced by anyone else. Without him, our home is emptier and incomplete. He will forever be one of our guardian angels.
Tell us about Raphael: I first met Raphael (and his brother Michael) upon visiting the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago as I was navigating the declining health of my first kitty, Gabriel. When he passed, I had Raphael (and his brother Michael) on my mind for the following week. I went to check and see how they were doing after they had been relocated to a satellite adoption location and, upon seeing him/them in that store adoption center, I knew they needed to come home with me. Since that day, Raphael has way surpassed his role as a guardian kitty angel. With his warm snuggles and ever-observant and supervisory nature, he swiftly became an integral, irreplaceable a priceless member of our home and family.
