Message to Purrito: Thank you for being the world's best cat, Purrito. I love you very much, and wish we had more time together. It gives me solace hearing how everyone who met you, or saw my million Instagram posts about you, loved you too. You will always be in my heart and on my mind.
Tell us about Purrito: I got Purrito from the Anti-Cruelty Society on December 26, 2016, almost exactly on her 2nd birthday. I don't know what her life was like before, but I'm extremely grateful she found her way to me. I'm particularly thankful I got to spend so much time with her during the height of the pandemic, as she loved being on my balcony as much as I did, helping me grow my plants without ever digging up the soil, laying in the sun, and doing her best to keep me sane. She loved watching the occasional bird that stopped by and would hunt any bug that would dare come through my always open door. She was also the best part of remote work, reminding me to take frequent breaks to pay attention to her, of which I was happy to oblige. She was sweet, playful, friendly, and weird. She truly was the perfect cat, and I'm going to miss her terribly.
