Oso
Name: Oso
Date of Passing: 09/19/2026
Message to Oso: Oso, you were so much more than my dog. You were my family, my best friend, and a piece of my heart and soul. You were there through so many chapters of my life, always waiting for me when I came home and loving me without asking for anything in return.
Losing you has left an emptiness I cannot put into words. I already miss your face, your presence, our routines, and simply knowing you were there. I would give anything for one more day with you.
Thank you for every year, every memory, and every bit of love you gave me. I hope wherever you are, you're happy, healthy, running around again, and somehow you know just how deeply you were loved.
Until we meet again, Oso. You will always have a special place in my heart and soul. I love you forever.
Tell us about Oso: Oso wasn't simply a pet in our family. He was part of our everyday lives and became part of countless memories without us even realizing how precious those ordinary moments would someday become.
He was always there. When I went to work, went out to eat, went on dates, or simply went out and lived my life, I knew Oso was home. And when I came back, he was there waiting for me. He was rarely ever truly alone because my family was usually home with him, and on the rare occasions everyone had to leave for a little while, we'd even leave the TV on with cartoons for him. He was family, and that's how we treated him.
As he got older, life became harder for him physically, but he was still Oso. During his final days, when the stairs became difficult, I carried him downstairs and back upstairs so he wouldn't have to struggle. He was about 85 pounds, but none of that mattered. If carrying him made things a little easier for him, I was going to carry him. Looking back now, I'm grateful that I was able to be there for him when he needed me most.
There are so many little things I will miss—the routines, his bowls, his leash, his bed, his toys, his blankets, and simply seeing him in the house. Things that once seemed completely ordinary now mean everything to me.
Oso passed peacefully on September 19, 2026. I wish more than anything that we could have had more time. There were still things I wanted to give him and moments I wanted us to have together. But one thing I will never have to wonder about is whether Oso was loved. He was loved tremendously, every single day of his life.
Oso gave me a kind of companionship that I will carry for the rest of my life. I don't know when the pain of losing him will become easier, but I know the love won't disappear with it. As long as I'm here, there will always be a part of me that belongs to Oso.
He was my boy. He was family. And he will never be forgotten.
