Message to Olga: Olga has been the light of my life for the last six and a half years. I discovered a love for cats relatively late in life and through my volunteer work at Tree House Humane Society, was lucky enough to gain the trust of 2 senior, shy ladies. Olga was one of them. As well as the countless hours of joy and laughter she has brought me, I have learnt about resilience, stoicism and pure, pure, unconditional love from her. She has faced several health challenges since I adopted her and she has always carried herself with courage and dignity until she no longer could. Olga, I will love you forever and I will always be your mama. Until we meet again xoxo

Tell us about Olga: I first met Olga when I was a volunteer at Tree House Humane Society in May 2019. She was a former community cat and was very, very shy around people. Gradually, over the course of 9 months or so, I got to know her and gain her trust, and in January 2020, she joined me and my cat, Landa, as a foster, before becoming one of the family in March 2020. Olga has been a very loving cat with me and the few humans she has let into her heart. Her favorite things are pets from her mama, playing football with her purple ball and crunchy treats. She has the loudest purr I've ever heard and it would start up when you started petting her. We all spent a year in England with my parents, whom she loved, and we could hear her running around, playing football and “quacking" upstairs while we were having dinner downstairs (she had a damaged larynx and could not meow). Once she became sick, she spent a lot of her time curled up asleep in her round, heated bed, but despite very little vision and hearing, she continued to show her love.
