Tell us about Nikko: Nikko came after my last soul cat, Angel passed away at 18. It was very hard on me, she was such a maternal figure in my life and I feel deeply she sent me Nikko out of love. I came across him when I was shopping at PetSmart. We locked eyes and he really wanted to get to me and I really wanted to get to him. He came home to me on Halloween in 2012. We had been inseparable since. He was clear in that he doesn't want anything to do anyone else except me and then later my son. That's just how he was. He had his own personality and I accepted and loved him as he was, strong bold personality and all. He watched over our family, and my home like a guardian. He took care of my other animal companions, watching over them in times is illness. He was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known. I start gardening soon and he used to garden with me, sitting quietly looking at the birds while I planted. He would at times check in with me with head butts and kisses, both of our favorite things.
