Message to MaryAnn: In early 2020, MaryAnn started snuggling up in my right armpit whenever I got into bed. Shortly thereafter, I was diagnosed with cancer that had spread to that lymph node. After 2 of 8 scheduled rounds of chemo, she stopped doing that. When I had a follow up exploration of the area, there no longer was cancer there. She never snuggled there again. And it hasn’t recurred. I’m going to miss my personal cancer detector greatly.
Tell us about MaryAnn: This mini panther had spent quite a bit of time, over a year, at the shelter. When we arrived (shopping for my 50th bday gift !), my husband went in one room, and I went in another. Shortly, he joined me with this kitty on his shoulder. It was his first experience being chosen! And since I too had a cat in my lap, we left with 2 fur babies that special day! We didn’t change her name as she had had it for so long. And she definitely knew it ! She was quirky and wonderful and is gone way too soon. We all miss her a lot. And boy she could go from the floor to the top of the 7’ cat condo in a blink — it was amazing.
