Message to Linsey: I miss you my sweet girl. You had the gentlest and sweetest soul. I still hear the bell jingling on your collar at night. I wish you could have stayed longer but it wasn’t fair to you and selfish of me to want that for you. You had an amazing life with your brothers and sisters and humans who you outlived and are now reunited with. I hope they were all there at the rainbow bridge to greet and welcome you. I hope you heard the song I played for you. I miss you snuggling with me and waking me up to get your morning routine started so you could go back to sleep. You brought so much joy to my life. You were there through so many life events - both happy and sad. You somehow knew when I needed you to come snuggle with me. You will always be my little sweet potato. I will eventually adjust to my new normal especially not vacuuming up kitty litter. I will see you again one day when you meet me at the rainbow bridge. Play in peace now sweet girl.
Tell us about Linsey: Linsey was adopted from a rescue shelter when she was about 6 months old. Her grampa picked her out. Her name was Linsey already so he wanted to keep it. Linsey had many brothers and sisters throughout her life and she outlived them all. She loved the time she had playing with them and would always be the one that was picked on but she never seemed to mind. She would defend herself when she was tired of it. She loved her toys - mostly her mice she would bat around and her froggy and her toys on a stick. She loved being in the fenced in backyard or in the “she shed” with her people just sleeping in the sun. Sometimes she would play until she got tired and fall asleep. She would not let a delivery box get emptied out without testing it out. One year, there was a yellow goldfinch who would come to the living room window and knock on it with its beak to get her attention. She loved her doggy sister Lacy who was both her friend and foe. They had such a love/hate relationship as sisters sometimes do but she protected Linsey if she felt she were in any danger. Linsey truly didn’t have a mean bone in her body and was always curious. She never hid when visitors came over, quite the contrary - another human to pet her so she would gladly introduce herself. If people could only have Linsey’s gentle and kind temperament, the world would be amazing!! Linsey passed away peacefully in my arms. Born 7/29/2008 Died 8/11/2026
