Message to Gypsy: We were so blessed to have had our dear sweet Boy Gypsy for 19 years. From the minute I met him and his brother and litter mate Tango (who we had to say goodbye to last year at 18 years) my heart melted. I believe you picked us as much as we picked you. I know losing Tango was hard on us as it was on Gypsy. They were each other's buddies and yin and yang to our family. While it will take time for our hearts to heal and the emptiness to subside 1st losing Tango a year ago and now dear sweet Gypsy I hope they are together and running free over the rainbow bridge where furry angels with tails play. Thank you my dear sweet boys for all the love, joy, fun, comfort and delight you brought to our lives. You will be forever missed but never forgotten. Please remember to watch over us and send some much needed purrs and comfort kneading our way. Good Night My Sweet Princes. Till we meet again. LOVE YOU ALWAYS!!!

Tell us about Gypsy: I first met Gypsy and Tango 19 years ago. A friend of friend would feed and rescue feral cats in the Chicago of Logan Square. I was invited to a party on a hot July evening and the minute I walked into this house there were cats everywhere coming and going and I was in heaven. Always being a cat lover since I was a little girl I just melted. I hadn't had a cat for some time and was just recently thinking maybe it was time. Soon I was introduced to little a little black cat strutting down the hallway past fully grown cats as if he was the boss and trailing behind him was the sweetest fluff ball of a ginger tabby. I was not only amused but in love. These 2 boys were from the same litter that a fierce feline named tripod (she had lost a leg hence the name) had just mothered about 6 to 8 weeks earlier. She was not bothered by me smothering love or holding these 2 sweet bundles of joy. No she was too busy with her pirating ways of running off with the chicken breast that was on my plate that I had neglected. I didn't leave with my sweet boys that night and when I went home and fell into deep dreams with both of these sweet babies appearing to me. The next morning I wanted to be their Mamma. I played with several names and finally came up with Gypsy (the little black one) because of my dance back ground and my love for flamenco and Tango (the little ginger tabby) for my love of the that music and dance. They were always such a joy and slept with each other from the minute I got them and then at night with us. We were blessed and they will always be in our hearts and memories. It was hard to say goodbye to Tango last year after 18 years and I new I had to be there and love Gypsy more. Gypsy gave us one more year at 19, and gave us a beautiful morning the day we said our goodbyes. He jumped up on the bed purred so heavy rubbing his beautiful face into ours, going back and forth between Roger and I, then laid down between us kneading his paws and giving us love. Both my babies were in my arms when we said our goodbyes . Tango last year and Gypsy this year. As sad as it was and still is, it was peaceful and loving. Thank you to a Gentle Goodbye and Doctor Molly for all you loving care in this difficult sad time.
