Message to Gabby: Nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people-they always go away, sooner or later. You can't hold them, any more than you can hold moonlight. But if they've touched you, if they're inside you, then they're still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart. ~ Bruce Coville

Tell us about Gabby: Gabby was adopted from PetSmart in Northbrook, IL after being placed there by Kay's Animal Shelter in Kenosha. She was adopted when she was about 8 week old. She was the runt of the litter, always very tiny and seemed like a kitten. She loved both of our dogs, Sammy, a Bichon and Leo, a Coton Du Tulear. She was the queen in the household. She drank from Leo's water bowl and allowed him to lick and clean her ears. She always wanted to be with us and was very social. She laid at her mom's feet while I worked from home and her mom's patients liked to see her. She was a great comfort and very beautiful with deep green eyes. After her mom's father died in May right after her dog brother Leo died in May, she would lay on her mom's head when her mom went to sleep which was a great comfort. In the end, she wanted to spend most of her time with her brother in his room. She waited until he was ready to move out on his own to let go and leave our home, but not our hearts.
