Einstein
Date of Passing: 09/20/2026
Message to Einstein: Had to say goodbye to my best friend 🤍 Just shy of 15 years together, it was time for my sweet gal to go. My world without her is going to feel a little less sunny and a little less soft. She grew up with me. Through every version of my adult life, there she was. Different cities, different homes, different people, different jobs, different versions of me, and somehow she was always the constant. Nearly 15 years never could have been enough, but what a gift it was to have them with her. Einstein, thank you for growing up with me. Thank you for being my home through every home. Thank you for 15 years, my darling. I will miss you for far longer. 🤍
Tell us about Einstein: I rescued Einstein my junior year of college living in LA. She had been born on a doorstep with her siblings, and having never owned a cat, or really even a pet of my own, I suddenly took on the role of being her mom. I had no idea then just how much of my life she would be there for. When we first got her as a kitten, she got her name because she kept hitting her little noggin on our coffee table, and my college roommate at the time said “way to go Einstein” and I thought it fit perfectly. She was there for: 8 moves, 3 of them cross-country 13 roommates 14 birthdays 14 Christmases Countless heartbreaks New jobs and new chapters She instantly became a fan favorite to so many people who came into our lives over the years. Anyone who knew me, knew her. She was there when I was stressed. She was there when I needed to cry which then she ended up with mascara all over her white fur. She was always there to curl up with me on the couch and never missed a beat when what I needed most was a night in with my girl. There were countless nights she would lie at my feet in the bathroom while I got ready for a night out, only to be waiting for me again at 5 a.m. because, heartbreak or hangover, breakfast was still expected to be served on time.
