Message to Dexter: We had 16.5 wonderful years with our sweet boy Dexy Beast. He peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge surrounded by his loving family Tammy, Tony, Julia and Anthony. We will miss you but know you’re having the time of your life with your brothers Cody and Mario.
Tell us about Dexter: We picked up our sweet boy Dexter from Scentini Beagles when he was 1.5 years old. He was born 11/4/2009 and an AKC Champion. Our family was so excited to welcome a second beagle into our home, however, his older beagle brother Mario wasn’t too sure about it as he was the only child for 9 years. Dexter had some naughty but funny habits we had to work on. He liked to hop on the kitchen table when no one was looking, and he acted like Cujo when he saw other dogs on his walks. He sadly became an only child a year later, after Mario suddenly crossed the rainbow bridge. Later that year he became a big brother as we welcomed Cody into our home. They were the best of friends. They were partners in crime and did everything together. Dexter always wanted to play and he would bark at his brother until he did. When Dexter had a toy he loved to be chased around the house until the zoomies kicked in. He also loved to spoon with Cody and clean his eyes and ears in the morning. He was the best big brother and didn’t leave Cody’s side as he crossed the rainbow bridge in May.
At night Dexter had his “perch” on the couch where he hung out with his family. Even in his final months he lived life to the fullest. He loved his stroller walks, snuffle mat treats, and hanging out in the backyard letting the wind blow through his ears. The house feels so empty and quiet. We miss your potbelly pig snorts. Thank you for your love and precious memories.
