Daisy
Date of Passing: 11/21/2024
Message to Daisy: Daisy was a loving and patient Pup. Daisy loved playing with the kids, but mostly she just enjoyed being included: going for a car ride, going to the cabin, and going to Grandma's house. Daisy was loyal and protective of our kids and family and has left a big footprint on our hearts. She will always be remembered and missed.
Tell us about Daisy: Daisy was adopted on June 9th, 2013 at Paws in Chicago, and we were told she was about six months to a year old. From day one, she was the easiest pup. She was a quick learner and thrived off love and attention. Over the years, Daisy was there for every milestone in our lives, My wife and my engagement, our wedding (she attended as well), and she was there to greet all four of our children on their first days home. Daisy was the best dog with all of our kids; her patience and love was incredible. Daisy’s favorite place was Northern Wisconsin, where she learned to swim like a Labrador and captain the pontoon boat. Daisy had many chances to run away, but with every opportunity we would find her comfortably sitting on our front step watching the cars and neighbors go by.
As Daisy aged, she did so with grace. We almost lost Daisy in 2020 to a battle with post-vaccine anemia, but she fought through it and gave us many more years of friendship and love. On November 21st 2024, we said goodbye to Daisy as she struggled with a few illnesses. Daisy passed surrounded by stuffed animals of the kids she loved and protected, as well as in Peggy's and my arms, just as we had found her at Paws many years ago.
