Coco
Date of Passing: 11/06/23
Message to Coco: Coco was found roaming in the forest preserve at 1 year old, and the family who owned her never came forward to claim. The sheriff who found her held her for 2 weeks and couldn’t believe it - I met Coco randomly at a dog store hosting an adoption event and fell immediately in love. She was playful, loved a tennis ball, fur friends, water and overall just having fun.
She greeted everyone who came in the door with a tail wag. She enjoyed life in the city of Chicago for 10 years and finally was spoiled with her own yard and house when we moved to the burbs. Coco lived to her fullest, never letting the early onset of arthritis get her down.
Tell us about Coco: I named her Coco after going back and forth in keeping her adopted name “Rose” and decided Coco Rose was most fitting. She loved toys, stuffed animals, tennis balls, chasing rabbits and squirrels. She was also the best companion and best snuggle buddy a person could ask for. We loved her, she was more than a dog, was truly a family member.
